Rowupdating example gridview
The Grid View 'Grid View1' fired event Row Deleting which wasn't handled. When I say manually databinding I mean not using a data source control specified as a Data Source ID, but rather setting the Grid View’s Data Source equal to the appropriate data object and calling Data Bind. NET 2.0 are familiar with how to deal with this, but since ASP.NET 2.0 most of the examples and tutorials deal with setting the Data Source ID, which buys you a lot of automation that you may not even appreciate unless you’ve done this the old fashioned way. These properties will automatically render Edit, Update and Cancel buttons inside Grid View column.I am using Template Field’s Item Template and Edit Item Template for providing read only and editing interface of the same column in the Grid View. We’ll revisit this method when we implement the sorting functionality. We also need force databinding to occur when then page is loaded, which we’ll handle in Page_Load.The required actions for paging to work are setting the new page index, setting the Data Source, and calling Data Bind (the last two through the Bind Data method).
Editing the Grid View control can be an incredibly easy feature to add for certain database tables, especially those who have no foreign key associated and can easily be edited through the use of a standard Text Box web control as shown in the figure below: 1.Normally in gridivew, All buttons are enabled (Edit, Update or Cancel)Is it possible to force the user to Click on Update/Cancel button, when in Record Edit Mode. 6 years later this information is still relevant and helps others resolve issues. There's a very good suite by Shield UI that I have a fantastic experience with and it is a very good solution for everything related to ASP.net, including grid, chart, etc..
